Course Introduction
About the Course
What is leadership? The dictionary describes a leader as “person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country” and leadership as “the state or position of being a leader”.
Does this really capture our view of leadership? What we have learned is that leadership is earned, not by a title but rather, that true leadership is a process of social influence, which maximizes the efforts of others towards the achievement of a goal. Leadership might then be reframed to say it is a learned set of skills that can be used in influencing others. The question is where do we go to find the right skillsets?
In this webinar, we will look at the skills top leaders embody. We will discuss ways to apply these skills in leadership – whether in a small group or large organization. Presented in vignettes, this webinar will give you the skills and tools to become a better leader.
