About Power BI Desktop Training Course
Power BI Desktop is a user-friendly tool created by Microsoft to “Enable everyone at every level of your organization to make confident decisions using up-to-the-minute analytics.” In the past, your data needed to be handed off to different departments and many times, by the time you received the answer, the question, and answers both had changed. Power BI allows you to work with your own data to get the answers you need quickly and easily.
In this 3-hour class, Leza Wood, Microsoft Certified Trainer, will discuss the concepts that make Microsoft Power BI such a popular program. We will discuss the different components of Power BI, how using a data analytic program, such as Power BI, will increase engagement with your customers, employees and help you better develop your products and services. The course will demonstrate how to connect to data, the importance of the data model and how to create relationships in model view.
The student will leave this class with a much better understanding of the program’s purpose and how to get started using Power BI Desktop.

Get Ready for Microsoft Power BI Desktop Classes, or equivalent knowledge, is strongly recommended as a prerequisite for this class. This course, Getting Started with Microsoft Power BI Desktop, will start with the assumption that the latest version of Power BI Desktop is installed, and the exercise files have been unzipped to the C:\SimpLiv PBI folder.
