Based on extensive Crisis Intervention teachings and Critical Incident consultations, the Stress Doc ™ helps learners:

Understand crisis dynamics and

Recognize the dangers and unique/time-sensitive opportunities, and

Skills and savvy for surviving and, even, thriving, during crisis periods, including Progressive Relaxation, Mindful Eating and Exercise, and Balance through Boundaries.

Armed with crisis intervention knowledge and tools, participants will learn to build Psychological Hardiness, a model researched/developed during major and disruptive organizational change. Learn tools and techniques for: 

Meditation-visualization,

The mind-body impact of regular physical exercise mindful eating, and

The ability to say “No” and set boundaries and

To integrate the head and heart, and a support system, especially in times of loss and change.

Course Objectives

This course equips participants with essential tools and strategies for managing stress and building psychological resilience. It covers crisis intervention techniques, the foundations of psychological hardiness, and practical methods like meditation, exercise, and balanced nutrition. Learners will also explore the importance of setting boundaries, saying “no,” and fostering supportive social connections to maintain emotional well-being.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to identify personal stress triggers, apply effective coping strategies, and build a sustainable support system to enhance resilience and maintain mental health during high-pressure situations
